Situated on the slopes of the majestic Magaliesberg, The Barn House @ The Donkey Dairy offers comfortably furnished self-catering accommodation on a working donkey farm, just 16 km from Hekpoort and the town of Magaliesburg. The property is fully off-grid and powered by solar energy.

The cottage can accommodate up to 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, and there is an additional double sleeper couch available for extra sleeping space. Guests share a bathroom fitted with a shower, washbasin, and toilet.

The living area features an open-plan design, including a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery, and crockery. A 4-seater dining table adjacent to the kitchen is perfect for shared meals, while the lounge area offers comfortable seating and a fireplace for colder nights.

Outside, guests have access to additional seating as well as a braai area. Fully off-grid and solar-powered, there’s no TV to distract you—just the chance to reconnect with yourself, your loved ones, and the natural world. With complimentary Wi-Fi, it's also an ideal retreat for those looking to work or write from a place of peace and inspiration.
