I certainly was never annoyed when you were requesting additional hot flasks. The reason we do not have kettles in the rooms is due to the fact that kettles "eat" electricity and having invested in solar panels mostly to ensure we have power at the time of load shedding and power outages. Providing hot water flasks is a measure we implemented to ensure our backup power remains constant to ensure we had power for all security lighting, electric fence, indoor lighting and TVs. To be able to utilise kettles we would have had to increase our investment in solar panels - which was not possible as we rather invested in backup water supply ensuring guests' most important needs are met. I do apologise for the inconvenience you may have experienced. One could also utilise the microwaves provided to prepare a cuppa tea or coffee. I do also apologise if I failed to explain this to you on check-in.
We certainly hope this does not deter you from visiting us again.
