The Crofters Loft is a warm and inviting solar-powered cottage nestled within established cottage gardens in the heart of Hilton. Designed with an eco-friendly, upcycled approach, it offers a charming countryside stay with a strong sense of comfort, character, and calm.
This cottage has a homely, tucked-away feel, where mornings begin with birdsong drifting through the gardens and evenings settle into the gentle sounds of the countryside. The property is part of a small homestead setting and is shared with three rescue donkeys, free-range chickens, and friendly rescue dogs, creating a relaxed rural atmosphere.
Inside, the cottage is thoughtfully arranged to feel intimate yet comfortable. It features a king-size bed fitted with electric blankets and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, basin, and loo. The interior blends rustic warmth with simple modern comforts, making it an easy space to settle into.
A wood-burning fireplace forms the heart of the living area, offering a cosy retreat during cooler evenings. Guests can unwind under Sherpa blankets, enjoy a Smart TV with Netflix, or simply relax in the peaceful surroundings. Fibre Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottage for convenience and connectivity.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a gas hob, a full fridge, a microwave, crockery, and essential utensils, allowing guests to prepare meals comfortably during their stay. Complimentary tea, coffee, and fresh milk are provided on arrival.
Outside, the garden space offers quiet corners to sit and unwind, whether with a morning coffee or an evening drink as the sun sets. BBQ facilities are available for relaxed outdoor cooking under the open sky.
