Situated on the slopes of the majestic Magaliesberg, the one-of-a-kind The Hideaway @ The Donkey Dairy offers comfortably furnished self-catering accommodation on a working donkey farm, only 16 km from Hekpoort and the town of Magaliesburg. The property is powered by solar energy.

This cottage can accommodate 2 guests and comprises 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower over the bath, washbasin, and toilet. Additionally, the cottage boasts a tranquil outdoor shower.

The living area features an open-plan design with a fully equipped kitchen, including a stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery, and crockery. The lounge is furnished with comfortable couches.

The cottage opens onto a verandah with an outdoor braai area and additional outdoor seating, ideal for sundowners.

The Mini Farm Shop offers guests soft drinks, sweets, homemade jams and rusks, as well as the well-known Donkey Dairy products such as milk, soap, and face creams.

Guests will have full access to the 34-hectare farm and are welcome to interact with the farm animals and participate in farm duties such as feeding the baby goats. The farm offers a family-friendly hiking trail, Brayer's Eye, which is 2 km long and features the mountain donkeys. Picnic blankets and backpacks for the hiking trail will also be provided. For romantic couples, a hike to Long Ears Lookout offers a lovely view of the Magaliesberg plains while enjoying a glass of sunset wine.
