7/10. The place itself is lovely. The problem we had was with parking. Parking was not thought out when the place was being planned. This gave us problems with paying guests inviting people to come over and we could not manoeuvre around properly. The staff on duty failed to get this issue under control. On our last night, we were enjoying a swim and music with the kids when the receptionist complained about the kids making the poolside wet. We took great offence at that and it left a bitter taste in our mouths. She also decided our music was too loud when the night before she allowed unruly, loud and drunk guests to play loud music, break glasses and talk loudly at the braai area next to our rooms the whole night and we didn't complain because everyone paid to enjoy themselves there. We decided we would not book there again. The place is understaffed for this time of the year, as a result our rooms were not clean to our satisfaction. We advised the cleaning lady to ask for mildew cleaner for the shower tiles; those are filthy.

Unsatisfactory for a 4-star rated boutique hotel. We stayed in the Luxury Family Suite (2 adults & 2 children). The suite was much smaller than expected and not particularly well maintained (the walls were dirty, the artwork hung upside down and the coffee station supplies were very limited considering 4 people staying in one suite). I couldn’t make use of my parking bay as it was very small and difficult to get in and out of. There was a concrete bench in our parking bay, which subsequently was used by our neighbour as a smoking hangout. The window to my children’s bedroom was right there, which meant that the chatter from the smokers at all hours during the night made it impossible to sleep. Not to mention the cigarette butts lying around. Staff seemed uninterested in providing any additional information and were slow to respond to even basic requests. We weren’t supplied with a remote for the gate and nothing was explained regarding procedures at check-in. The breakfast was dismal. All 4-seater tables were set for 2 people, so I had to find additional placemats, cutlery and crockery. The muffins were in short supply and the bread selection poor. For the price charged and star rating, I expected far better attention to detail and hospitality. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to others looking for a 4-star boutique hotel experience.

Very satisfactory, the staff was extremely friendly and kind. They were the best part about the B&B. Lovely B&B and the staff were even lovelier. Very accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend.
