The Lazy Shark offers bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodation in Freeland Park, Scottburgh on the south coast of KwaZulu-Natal. The property has a tranquil garden that allows moments of quiet reflection, and nature lovers will appreciate the bird life and lush surroundings. Sip sundowners with friends and family on the verandah, your own balcony or merely sit under the African stars and relax.
This is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area. There are beautiful beaches, great scuba diving, and premier golf courses nearby. Enjoy spectacular sunrises and unforgettable views of the Indian Ocean, first class seat to viewing whales over the June to November time.
Accommodation is offered in 4 guest rooms and 1 self-catering cottage, Deluxe King Room - The Great White (great for honeymoon couples), Superior King Rooms - Tiger and Whale Shark Rooms ( situated on the second floor with panoramic views from the balcony), Standard Double Room - Hammerhead Shark ( dedicated private bathroom across from the room, not en-suite), and Raggies Self-Catering Cottage (separate from the main house). All 4 rooms and the cottage can be rented out together exclusively for groups of up to 10 guests.
Each of the guest rooms, except Hammerhead, is equipped with a king size bed, TV (Netflix & Youtube), a fan & air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, a mini fridge, tea & coffee station and a safe for valuables.
Bath towels, linen and shower gel is provided.
The Raggies Self-Catering Cottage has its own well-equipped kitchen, lounge area, patio and a braai area, with a queen size bed.
Hammerhead features a double bed, ceiling fan, desk and a dedicated private bathroom across from the room.
ThE LaZy ShArK has a lovely swimming pool and sun loungers, a built-in bar and pool table, a library, and a covered verandah with outdoor dining furniture and seating.
