Fun stay in beautifully restored train! Absolutely loved staying here, beautifully restored train cabin with many of the original fittings, comfy and beautiful, and loved the pool, hot tub, plus garden and outside surroundings.

Had a relaxed breakaway. Weather was nice. The train was extremely cute and very clean. Very nice location. The only very big no's for me were the bath, the kitchen sink and some of the utensils, especially the pan.

A really fun, unique stay! We had lots of fun staying in this super unique accommodation. The train has been beautifully restored to its original condition. It's worth being aware that this means including the original bathroom and kitchen facilities (although updated with some modern appliances), so don't expect modern luxury—it's quite rustic and could be uncomfortable if you're not prepared for this! Also, be aware that the plumbing is a bit smelly due to the way the septic tank has been connected, which is not great if you have a sensitive sense of smell. Otherwise, a really cool experience.

Historic, quirky, unique. Quirky, true to character and restored true to its original feeling. Incredible location with caring and helpful hosts, well recommended for a weekend getaway.

Loved it! Unique! But I recommend some intense time is spent on the plumbing. I chose yes, I would recommend. However, you should have the option of 50/50. The site allows us to book 4 adults. But ideally, this should not be okay. There is 1 main double bed. Lovely sized area for a train! The 2nd "room" is quite tiny with a double bunk. But the beds are shorter and less wide than a single. We booked for 4 adults. This double bunk area is definitely a no-go for adults or even teenagers. Smaller kids, yes. To our own mistake, there is a pic of the double bunks. But in my mind, if the system allows you to book for 4 adults, then the beds are/should be adequate. Unfortunately, we had an issue with a leaking and smelly toilet for the entire stay. At first, I thought maybe one of us messed water at the basin and didn't think to report an issue until Saturday morning when I came to realise the toilet was the issue! Terrible sewer smell and the floor was quite wet. It would seem unknowingly we were standing in something more than clean water when using the bathroom. We left for an outing and the issue was seen to while we were out. Thank you! Unfortunately again later in the afternoon, back to the same issue. Late in the afternoon, we had the owner come and attend. Sadly, it just kept happening and it was all back again late in the evening. Fortunately, the next morning we were booking out. But with all this said and done, it is really a lovely place! The people are very friendly and welcoming. We felt quite safe at all times! Beautiful views! Loved the sound of the donkeys across the road! Very nice bedding! Unique stay. I know this is an 84-year-old train, but the plumbing was not nice.

All aboard magical journey. Affirmation of the Red Caboose's charm. The attention to detail provides a unique yet luxurious ambiance. One can unwind in the hot tub and enjoy local wine - pure romantic getaway. Morning coffee amidst the tranquility of working farms and a mountainous backdrop is purely serene. Evenings are spent watching the sunsets by a cozy fire. Though nearby roads are audible, the place still ensures enough privacy and safety. A truly enchanting experience overall and amazing storyline behind the build.
