Description

Tugela River Lodge is a self-catering eco-lodge located on a private cattle and game farm on the banks of the Tugela River, near Winterton. The property uses solar power and gas to run the lodge and is completely off the grid. This picturesque and pet-friendly piece of paradise, which is located in the shadow of the well-known Anglo-Boer Battlefield of Spionkop, is the perfect location for singles, couples, a family weekend, or a large group get-together.

The lodge offers accommodation in 5 standalone units that can each accommodate 4, 5, or 10 guests at a time. Each unit is furnished with king-size and single beds. The bathrooms in each unit are fitted with a shower, toilet, and wash basin. Quality linen is provided.

Each unit includes a kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer, oven, gas stove, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The living area in each unit features comfortable seating and opens onto either a patio or a balcony with outdoor seating and beautiful views.

Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi in the River House or Happy Hen Farmstall, secure parking, mountain biking trails, hiking trails, bird watching, game viewing, swimming, and fishing on the premises. Each unit has an outdoor braai area.
