I would happily recommend Turnberry - comfort, convenience, and great service. I recently stayed at Turnberry and had a truly pleasant experience. Disappointing. Too highly priced. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good. The hotel is shabby and needs upgrading. The shower was flooding the bathroom, the kettle lid was broken, and there was a short in the electrical connection to the mirror light, which kept going on and off in the night. There were not enough towels and no bath mat. The bed was very comfortable and clean. All issues were corrected after reporting to the manager. However, the shower continued to flood.

Disappointed overall. Room was nice; the rest of the place was rundown. Pool area not as per photos. Pub only opened at 4 pm. No restaurant for dinner. Room neat and clean.

A room for the night. Not worth the rating! The client service was not as wished. We were travelling for the Meiringspoort Half Marathon. There is no telephone in the room to contact the service desk should there be a need. The TV quality is not on standard with the 4-star rating the hotel enjoys, and then the service the next morning was shocking. We all booked breakfast packs as we had to leave at 04:00 in the morning (not the only guests that requested it), but there was no one to check us out and assist with the packs. I was travelling with 3-year-old and 9-year-old kids.

Running race. The fridge in the room doesn't get cold and keeps turning on and off, which was very annoying throughout the night and disturbed my sleep. The shower head is clogged and sprays water all over the place. The floor tiles in the bathroom are broken and dirty. The shower door doesn't close properly and water then runs all over the floor.
