Value for money and would highly recommend. Peaceful with delightful views, fishing was exceptional mainly carp between 2kg and 5kg. Neat and tidy with all the necessary amenities. The only issue we had was the WiFi reception was not good and with zero cellphone reception the WiFi kept dipping. The splash pool was lovely during the hot afternoons. The caretaker was also on hand to assist with any information needed. All in all, our group had a fantastic time and would highly recommend as a fishing getaway with friends or a mature family-friendly holiday.

Definitely a return location. The setup of the house is stunning and for fishermen it is amazing as it's literally on the water. Should you get tired of the fishing, you can relax, swim, and braai.

Pleasant stay. We stayed at this beautiful riverfront house for two nights and had a wonderful, relaxing stay. The house is spacious and well laid out, with a large fully equipped kitchen, two comfortable living rooms, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms—one with a bathtub and the other with a shower. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The highlight of the property is definitely the outdoor area. The large covered patio overlooking the river is the perfect place to relax, and we spent most of our time outside enjoying the peaceful surroundings. We especially appreciated having access to the boat and life jackets, which allowed our children to spend hours rowing safely along the river. It was a fantastic experience for the whole family, and we enjoyed taking turns exploring the river ourselves. There were only two issues during our stay. Firstly, on the morning of our departure, the cleaner entered the house at around 9:00 a.m., an hour before the official check-out time, without knocking or asking permission. We felt our privacy was not respected, especially as our children were still in bed and we had not yet finished breakfast or packed our belongings. Secondly, there was a strong unpleasant odour, particularly in the smaller bedroom between the two bathrooms, which appeared to be coming from the septic or drainage system. It would be worthwhile investigating, as it affected the comfort of that room. Other than these two issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is peaceful, the house is comfortable, and the riverfront setting makes it a wonderful place to unwind. We would happily recommend this property to anyone who enjoys nature, rivers, boating, and a quiet getaway.
