Uncomplicated, friendly, clean, practical, pleasant. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the place. The room had everything I hoped for and then some (shower and toilet in the room, fridge, kettle, fan, kitchen utensils, TV with HDMI, access to a washing machine, space to sit outside in front of the room). The landlord was helpful, friendly and patient with a complete Africa-beginner from the north. One thing I should have prepared better was to organise some form of motorised transportation; I tried walking everywhere, which thoroughly exhausted me. My privacy phone could not run ride-sharing apps and I did not succeed in stumbling upon a local business to rent something motorised from. The terrain was too mountainous for me to ride a bike; I tried. The only thing I can think of that was missing from the room was a window with a mosquito net to better regulate the temperature and humidity in the room at night without letting mosquitoes in. I am sure the landlord would have figured something out had I asked him because he showed me how much he did to the property, which was impressive and inspiring.
