My fiancé and I and my father traveled together. Wow, this farm and accommodation were the highlight of our entire 3 weeks in and around SA! I can't decide what the best aspect of Waboom Kothuis is -- the hiking trails (especially to the waterfall with the swimming hole), the view, the accommodation itself with the very nice braai room, the tranquility, and much more. Above all, I would like to mention that the hostess and host were so amazing! It felt like we were visiting old friends on the farm. You do have to drive through a few mountain passes to get there, so just make sure you drive a car with high clearance, and then there are also 4x4 routes that you can tackle. I would recommend this place and people 100 times, it was truly an amazing break for my soul.

Relaxing, calm, beautiful, peaceful. Pierre and Carine were absolutely great. The house was beautiful. The farm was so calm and relaxing. Some beautiful walking trails to a waterfall and look-out points. A definite must-visit. Well worth it!

Wonderful getaway! We had a wonderful time! Carine was a star, the house is located on a special farm in the mountains. The road there is rough (not 4x4, but definitely "high ground clearance" needed). WiFi and mobile signal. Pet friendly. Would definitely love to go again!
