Wagtail Cottage Loft is a charming historic self-catering cottage with a private entrance, situated on the upper floor of the owners’ property in Greyton.

This accommodation offers a glimpse into history for those who appreciate the local materials and construction techniques available to people in the early 1900s. Municipal records for the cottage were lost in the devastating 1987 fire, but it is understood that the main part of the cottage was built around 1923. Every effort has been made to preserve the historical context of the cottage, allowing it to serve as a reminder of the past. Guests can therefore expect a contrast between old and new, providing a peaceful retreat from the rush of modern life.

The loft unit accommodates 2 guests and features an open-plan sleeping area with a queen-size bed, as well as an en-suite bathroom equipped with a shower-over-bath, toilet, and basin. High-quality linen and bath towels are provided. Access to the loft is via stairs leading to the private entrance.

The unit includes a kitchenette with a two-plate stove, microwave, kettle, fridge, crockery, cutlery, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a dishwasher. Guests can enjoy their meals at a dining table with 4 seats. The lounge area features a smart TV with complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as a comfortable sofa for relaxation.

On-site parking is provided for guests’ convenience. The property is just a short distance from the town centre, making it ideal for those wishing to explore this historic village.
