Great spot, beautiful property, good value, minor fixes needed. Wakanda has a view of the dam and the surrounding mountains, and the many outdoor areas enabled us (2 sisters with husbands and young adult children) to reconnect around the braai or to find a quiet corner to read a book, take a nap or listen to the bird sounds. One or two things might need some upkeep though, as two of the wooden doors leading outside were stuck (probably due to the humidity), and those on the lower level had to run up the stairs and then again down the outside stairs to get to the lower porch. The kitchen seemed to have only cold water, but on the plus side, there is a dishwasher and also a top loader washing machine. Some problems with salt damp on the lower level necessitated windows to be left open at night. Having 3 bathrooms is an absolute must if you have a large group holidaying together, and this facility in Wakanda was really comfortable for all – a mirror and some bedside cupboards in the lower bathroom might be a good addition to bring it to the same level as the beautiful upper bathroom though. Lastly, although one would probably live in shorts and T-shirts when on holiday in such a location, it would be nice to have some clothes hangers and a rail to hang one or two things. Having said all of the above, we had a most memorable time at Wakanda and I would recommend it to anyone.

Wakanda exceeded our expectations. Will visit again. Wakanda is a lovely, spacious house with enough space for 11 people. Beautiful rooms, lovely patio for entertaining.
