A relaxing stay but, for us, the wrong venue. I travelled with a female friend. We stayed at a hunting lodge but we were clearly not hunters. At the time of booking, this should have been pointed out to us, and perhaps, we should have been directed to another lodge. At this lodge, we were not able to go for walks into the bush. We were confined to the immediate surrounds of the lodges. We saw very little game on our first "game" drive; we were then told that the animals were hiding due to being scared off because of a hunt a couple of days before when two giraffes were shot. On our second "game" drive, we discovered that a group of hunters was in front of us, and we heard shots being fired. We saw very little game. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The fire at the boma in the evening was a great way to relax before the evening meal. The bird life was fantastic.
