Beautiful location, the animals and resort are beautiful, but Pele has big problems. You guys, it was a struggle. I only got our access codes after I had to follow up with the host. I had to call them again to get the key codes to unlock the house and apartment. There was no one to receive us. The power kept going out, but it wasn't load shedding. No power also means no water! The battery lamps were not charged and were not in good condition. The lamp in the apartment didn't work at all. We only discovered the gas stove, outside under the braai, on the morning of our departure. The oven didn't work. The bedside lamps in one of the four rooms didn't even have a cable attached. The king-size bed in my and my husband's room had a mattress that was too short for the bosses, and so did the duvet. The swimming pool is surrounded by ants, you can't walk barefoot there. There were cans and stumps lying around outside and the ashtray hadn't even been cleaned. For the price we paid, I expected a lot more. Really, we were very disappointed.
