Dis net so mooi as Gariep, maar die hooftoegangspaaie moet aandag geniet anders sal dit meeste mense afskrik. Mense het oor die algemeen nie baie lus vir slaggate na 'n lang rit van 6-9 uur nie."
"One of the few authentic "dorpies" left in South Africa. No ATM, petrol station, or supermarket, but wonderful hospitality and very friendly people. Safe to walk around at night. We ate at the Waenhuis which was superb and the corner shop stocked the small items we needed. Dust roads, peace, and calm. The most amazing dawn chorus from the resident birds. Well worth a visit."

"Hanover is maar 'n baie vervalle dorp. Die paaie is baie sleg en als lyk oud en stukkend. Die kerk is pragtig en daar is in die somermaande Siberian valke by die 100de in die bome regoor Hanover. Dit is pragtig en besonders om te beleef."

"A really rich visit, with so much more to learn and experience than just the owl house. Really worth spending a few days exploring each little thing the village and surroundings offer. It is not that well advertised, so hoping to help people know about this part of the village. The Karoo Experience tasting menu at Stirlings restaurant is an absolute must; a real flavour sensation, and is very reasonably priced. Also, Antie Evelyne's restaurant in the township (find her details online to make a booking) offers a really hearty evening meal - in an impoverished township, go ahead and support existing economic activity, and enjoy a really hearty meal and good conversation with Antie Evelyne in the process!"
