The location was perfect - waking up to the sound of the ocean. It was peaceful. Our stay in Yzerfontein was absolutely fantastic. The accommodation exceeded every expectation—spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing getaway. The space felt both luxurious and homely. The host was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay wonderful. Their hospitality added so much to the experience. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!

Spacious, luxurious cottage close to the beach, very relaxing, private outdoor. We only had two days, but they were marvellous. The location of the cottage is perfect, close to the beach, very quiet, outdoor braai area and garden very comfortable and private. The house is spacious, clean and has everything one needs for self-catering. The host was very friendly and happy to help.

Peaceful getaway with thoughtful touches. We had such a lovely, albeit short, stay at Versveld Cottage. It was exactly the relaxed break we were looking for to escape the day-to-day grind. The cottage was comfortable and welcoming — the seating and bed were both great for unwinding, and the wood-fired hot tub was a real highlight (even if it took a little longer to heat up than we thought, it was well worth the wait!). We also really appreciated that wood was generously provided for both our first braai and the hot tub — far more than expected, which was such a thoughtful touch. During our stay, we discovered that if the doors/windows closest to the braai are left open, the smell of smoke can linger inside (we assume the previous guests had them open while braai'ing). It wasn't an issue once we aired it out and kept everything closed during our time using the braai, so it's an easy tip for future guests :). The hosts went above and beyond in terms of communication. Amore welcomed us on arrival, showed us around, and ensured we were comfortable with everything. Jaco was incredibly responsive on WhatsApp and shared loads of helpful information about the area, local activities, and how to use the amenities and Wi-Fi, which made everything smooth and stress-free. From the initial enquiry right through to the post-checkout messages, both the website team and the property hosts were responsive and accommodating. It made the whole experience effortless and enjoyable. Thank you to you all! We only wish we could have stayed longer! We'll happily recommend Versveld Cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped, and relaxing stay in Yzerfontein.

Quiet, serene and peaceful. It was very nice, calm and healing; the place is really quiet and peaceful.

Our stay was short but excellent. Would do it again in a bear. Versveld is a stunning house with high-quality furnishings, a big bath tub and the cherry on the cake is the exquisite hot tub. The host was really hands-on and provided excellent hints about the area. This was really value for money. Can't wait to get back.

Exceeded expectations! Versveld Cottage exceeded expectations! Bigger and better than the pictures - super spacious with loads of cupboard space and just a short walk down to the ocean. The host was amazingly helpful, sharing lots of valuable info about the village, shops and restaurants.
