We engaged in multiple communications with the primary guest, requesting that she take responsibility for the additional costs incurred. Unfortunately, she did not comply.
Our accommodation caters for a maximum of 8 guests, and the guest initially confirmed that their group would consist of 8 people. However, 11 guests stayed in the house. The guest did not disclose this and refused to pay for the additional guests.
The house was left in an unacceptable condition, including dirty dishes, unclean floors and rooms, alcohol caps scattered around the property, stained mattresses, and used matches left in the rooms.
The guests confirmed their arrival time to be between 16:00 and 17:00 but only arrived at 21:10. This resulted in the property manager having to make multiple trips and wait unnecessarily due to a lack of clear communication.
The additional cleaning and mattress steaming costs exceeded the income generated from their stay.
Regrettably, we will not be accommodating these guests again.
