Thank you for your feedback. I only wish that you had informed me of some of these issues while staying with us. As I always tell guests, please let me know! So I can attend to your concerns/fix any problems to make your stay as best as possible (without waiting to hear via reviews and ensure the next guests will not endure similar problems if we are not able to attend to them sooner).
Just to update and provide a response to your concerns:
I do agree with you to ensure cleanliness and the need to maintain things like a fresh coat of paint. I do not, however, want guests to inhale paint fumes upon arrival or during their stay, so the timing of this had to wait until low season (winter).
The wooden doors and windows can "warp or swell" due to the weather, yet we have very quickly and easily seen to this. The blinds all work and only the bathroom blind had one slat (wooden Venetian vane) that was broken, missing only half of the line of slat.
There is permanently security - there is an electric fence surrounding the property and beams along with ADT services. A safety box is also provided within the cottage for personal items.
Outside chairs have been replaced. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
