Surrounded by natural beauty and steeped in history and legend, the property is located just 5 km from Utrecht, with convenient access via the R34. Newcastle is 55 km away, and Vryheid is 70 km away, making the property ideal for guests travelling in the region. The accommodation is powered by solar energy and gas geysers, ensuring guests remain unaffected by load shedding.
Accommodation is provided in 3 individually furnished en-suite bedrooms, each containing a king-size bed dressed in white, luxurious percale linen. Towels, homemade guest soap, and liquid hand soap are supplied for guests’ convenience. Gas heaters are available in winter, while fans and mosquito nets are provided during summer. The property’s secure environment allows guests to sleep with windows open and enjoy the fresh evening air. Each bedroom is spacious and features a large en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet.
A light continental breakfast is served, including coffee, tea, rusks, fruit juice, cereal, and yogurt. Guests are welcome to make use of the communal braai on the verandah, and a guest fridge and microwave are available in the dining area for warming food or storing private beverages. While Wi-Fi is not provided, guests can enjoy books from the small library and a variety of board games for evening entertainment.
The farm features a private museum showcasing artefacts from a bygone era, and a farm shop offering homemade soaps, creams, organic jams, and sauces. Walking routes and the surrounding area provide opportunities for exploration and a deeper appreciation of the farm’s serene environment.
