Relaxing, comfortable, home from home, clean and functional. The Family Unit was phenomenal. My son and I rode in from Durban and found the place quite easily. Roadside markings are good and visible. The unit itself is very nice, clean and well equipped. Great kitchen and braai area, relaxing lounge area and a beautiful dining area. The rooms are nice and big, with ample packing space. Loved the outside balcony from the main bedroom - great for a morning coffee. The hidden gem is outside, where a small waterfall can be heard, not to mention the view of the mountain. Absolutely wonderful! It was absolutely amazing! There are extras that are not even mentioned, like coffee, tea, sugar, milk, an umbrella and a walking stick. The tickle tub definitely takes longer than 2 hours to heat up when it is cold, but when hot, it is absolutely amazing! A fairy paradise. The house is situated at the beginning of a lot of trails; all trails can be reached from that location. We combined routes and did about 5 km hikes per day. It took 3 - 4 hours, but we rested often and had picnics. The layout of the house is ideal for board games and family time. We did not even switch the TV on, that is situated in the kitchen, so perfect for no screen time! There are no closets in the main bedroom, but there are drawers and also shelves in the bathroom. There are tons of books and a lovely swinging chair at the river. When things get too hot in the house, that is the perfect escape.
