Neat apartment in excellent location near eateries. We enjoyed our stay at De Eike. The location is great if you want to visit the many eateries and attractions on foot in Stellenbosch town or be central to the university. Accessing the apartment requires 2 flights of stairs, but this should not be a problem for most. There is ample secure public parking with a guard. Note that the parking charges R10 per hour during 8-5 pm, Mon-Fri. Free parking in the evening and on weekends. The apartment was clean, neat and comfortable. Perfect size for 1 or 2 people. There were nice touches of tea/coffee/rusks and some basics (water and milk) in the fridge. Communication with our host was easy and helpful. In summer months, Stellenbosch gets pretty hot; just note that the apartment does not have an air conditioner, but at its price point, this is an easy compromise if you will be out of the apartment during most days. Would recommend for a couple or work traveller wanting to stay in Stellenbosch central within walking distance from most things.

Clean, organised. I would recommend this place if you're coming to Stellenbosch and want to be close to the town centre as well as the university. Very cute apartment, I would come back in the future.
