Description

Die Melkstal offers comfortable self-catering accommodation on a working sheep farm, which is located on the banks of the Gourits River just outside of Mossel Bay. It is an ideal option for guests wanting to explore the scenic Garden Route, as well as have a unique farm experience, as guests are occasionally able to see sheep getting sheared and how the sheepdogs do their job.

This cottage can accommodate a total of 6 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds, and the second bathroom is also fitted with a shower. Another 2 single beds are available in the living area.

The open-plan living area features a kitchen equipped with a gas stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Leading from the kitchen is a cosy lounge space and a dining table with ample seating for guests to enjoy their meals.

Outside, there is a lovely garden space with outdoor furniture and braai facilities, which is an ideal spot for a sundowner in the evening. A braai grid and utensils are provided and firewood is available at an additional cost. There is plenty to do on the farm and surrounding areas such as fishing in the Gourits River, fishing from the rocks, beautiful picnic spots, olive, wine and gin tasting, game viewing, hiking, cycling, jogging and 4x4 dune driving.
