Dunford’s Loft is situated in the village of Himeville in the Southern Drakensberg of KwaZulu-Natal, just 5 km from Underberg. At Dunford’s Loft guests will enjoy warm, friendly hospitality in a relaxed environment, with beautiful views of a World Heritage Site, the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park just kilometres away.
Dunford’s Loft offers a variety of self-catering cottages that can accommodate couples, singles, families or groups comfortably. Towels, bedding, toilet paper, and starter tea and coffee are provided. Free Wi-Fi is also available. Each cottage has a fireplace, and a complimentary box of firewood is provided.
The property is fully fenced, with access control and 24-hour secure response, for guests peace of mind.
Guests can do a Sani Pass Tour including a visit to the highest pub in Africa, or a day tour to Mokhotlong, although passports are required. As agents for Sanit Pass Tours, a trip can be arranged on guests behalf. if required. Other activities in the area include hiking, guided rock art tours, tubing down the river, horse riding, trout fishing, canoeing, tennis, bowls and golf. The area has a wide variety of cosy pubs, restaurants, takeaways, home industries, country kitchens, animal farms and much more including the Himeville Museum, voted South Africa’s best country museum.
