Description

Heritage View Birding Retreat is a tranquil retreat on the banks of the beautiful Barberspan, an internationally recognized Ramsar wetland in North West. The location offers breathtaking views, abundant birdlife, and a peaceful atmosphere, making it ideal for nature and bird enthusiasts.

The accommodation consists of two stylish units, each with a private veranda and views over the natural surroundings. Osprey is a spacious unit with one bedroom and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The open-plan living area and fully equipped kitchen are ideal for guests who prefer self-catering. The veranda overlooks the garden and Barberspan, perfect for morning coffee or sunset views.

Fish Eagle is a neat unit with one bedroom, an en-suite bathroom with a bath, and a separate study, perfect for guests who want to read or work in peace. The unit has a coffee station with a kettle, microwave, and fridge for light meals and drinks. A private veranda offers relaxation with views over the garden.

A connecting door links the 2 units and can be opened for families or friends travelling together.

Heritage View Birding Retreat is located about 100 m from the water and bird hide, where over 350 bird species have been observed, including fish eagles, crowned cranes, spoonbills, and flamingos. The property is easily accessible from Delareyville and Sannieshof, approximately 23 km along the N14, and is the perfect stopover for travellers heading to the Kgalagadi, Namibia, or the West Coast.
