Description
Khowarib Lodge is situated on the banks of the Hoanib River in the Khowarib Gorge, on the fringe of Kaokoland. The location provides convenient access to the remote northwest of Namibia.
The lodge offers various accommodation options, all with bathrooms. All chalets have access to main electricity, with adapters available for international visitors. Each unit, excluding the campsites, is equipped with a coffee station and a mini-fridge.
On-site facilities include Wi-Fi, secure parking, a bar, a restaurant, a swimming pool with a pool bar, sun loungers, laundry services, and a communal braai and picnic area at the campsite. A range of activities is also available for guests.
The surrounding Damaraland region offers opportunities to view desert-adapted elephants and visit nearby Himba settlements. Additional nearby points of interest include Kaokoland, the Hoanib River, rock art sites, Himba cultural areas, and Ongongo Falls, a natural spring suitable for swimming.
