Description

Arends Rus is a privately owned, family-friendly lodge perched on a mountaintop overlooking the scenic Loskop Dam. It offers a peaceful retreat for families and groups, combining rustic charm with modern comforts in a natural setting.

Accommodation includes three log cabins—Fisant, Naguil, and Visarend—each with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. Fisant has two queen-size beds and a sleeper couch, ideal for families with children. Naguil offers a queen bed and two singles, while Visarend has two double beds, accommodating up to four guests in each cabin.

Each cabin features a private stoep with dam views, undercover parking, an outdoor open-air shower, and a private braai area with a three-pot potjie and grid. Guests can also enjoy the communal swimming pool, sun deck, lawn, and a children’s trampoline and play park near Fisant, making it perfect for family fun.

The lodge is set on a farm that’s open for walks and close to numerous activities, including hiking, fishing, safaris, boating, bird watching, and a nearby 9-hole golf course. Arends Rus is conveniently located 46 km from Middelburg and 192 km from O.R. Tambo International Airport, offering a serene yet accessible getaway.+
