Makriel 22 is a lovely self-catering property with sea views, located in the beautiful West Coast town of Strandfontein, Louis Rood. The town is approximately a four-hour drive from Cape Town.
The property accommodates up to 7 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds, while the remaining bedrooms are furnished with two single beds and one single bed respectively. All bedding and linen are provided. The first guest bathroom is fitted with both a bath and a shower, while the second bathroom has a shower over the bath.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, air fryer, and microwave. The spacious open-plan living area features glass sliding doors that open fully onto the balcony, offering beautiful ocean views. An outdoor braai and outdoor shower are also available. A Smart TV is provided for streaming and is connected to free Wi-Fi.
The accommodation is located just 10 minutes from the mouth of the Olifants River, an ideal spot for kayaking, swimming, and relaxing. Bird lovers can enjoy spotting several rare species along the shoreline, while fishing and lobster diving are popular activities in the area. There are also numerous trails for mountain biking and hiking. Nearby Doringbaai offers a variety of restaurants, as well as a unique wine cellar at the harbour.
