Description
Millgate Cottage is a peaceful 5-hectare property set among farmlands, offering a quiet countryside escape with fresh air, natural spring water, and beautiful views.
The property offers 2 spacious self-catering family chalets, each with a fully equipped kitchen including a stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery, and crockery. Each chalet has a private stoep and braai facilities, and guests can park directly at their unit.
There are also 3 self-catering suites. Two suites include basic self-catering facilities, while the third suite, Durdle Door, has a fridge, microwave, and kettle, but no stove or wash-up area. All suites are equipped with fans and heaters for comfort and offer views of the lush garden and forest. Guests staying in the suites use the main parking area.
For longer stays, units are fully cleaned, and linen is replaced every 3 days. Daily servicing can be arranged at an additional cost.
A charming German restaurant and bakery is located on-site and is open Wednesday to Sunday from 08:30 to 16:30. Dinner can be arranged by prior booking after 16:30. Guests can enjoy authentic German dishes as well as freshly baked breads, rolls, pies, and Danish pastries.
A games room with a dartboard, pool table, and table tennis is available to guests and is situated next to the craft shop and art gallery.
Guests are welcome to explore the gardens or enjoy a walk through the forest, which offers even more scenic views. The surrounding farm roads are ideal for leisurely strolls, and there are trout dams and several golf courses in the area.
