Mona Cottage is worth it! Mike made us feel welcome and was friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay. Everything was very clean and tidy. The linen was of good quality and the duvets were heavenly to sleep under. The beds were soft and comfortable. I woke up without back pain. Like stepping back in time! Absolutely loved Mona Cottage, so tastefully furnished, wonderful antique paintings but all mod cons in the kitchen. Mike couldn't have been more helpful and the highlight of our stay was a visit to Alanglade Museum, residence of the former mine manager, fascinating house. Loved the company of the little cat in the garden! Only slight niggle was the WiFi, great late evening/early morning but hopeless during the day.
