Outentique Accommodation is a historic guesthouse located in the heart of Oudtshoorn. Housed in a beautiful sandstone building built in 1896, the property is designed to combine the charm and nostalgia of a bygone era with modern comforts. The guesthouse is situated close to Oudtshoorn’s shops and restaurants, while the famous Cango Caves are approximately 29.5 km away, offering guests a convenient base from which to explore the area.
Accommodation is offered in 4 individually decorated rooms, each designed to suit different needs. The Luxury Double Room is located in the original sandstone building on the front porch and contains a double bed with an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath. A kitchenette is provided for light meals. The Luxury Triple Room, also in the sandstone building, accommodates 3 guests with a double bed and a single bed, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. The Budget Triple Room is practical and cosy, sleeping three guests with a double bed and a single bed, and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. A kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster is included. The Quadruple Room is located in the modern wing of the property and sleeps 4 guests with a double bed and 2 single beds. The room features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet, and a private porch. All rooms are furnished with a fan, heater, bar fridge, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, and free Wi-Fi access is provided.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the property’s shared braai area, with wood provided for convenience, and the tranquil garden, which is a haven for birdlife and ideal for relaxing or strolling. Friendly dogs and cats often wander the property and may greet guests during their stay. Secure on-site parking is available behind a locked gate, and the layout of the property allows guests to experience both privacy and easy access to nearby attractions.
