Oasis in Richmond. I have never been so surprised in my life! You drive out of Richmond and expect a place to stay for the night. But when the gates open, it is an oasis. The staff is friendly, helpful, the meals are amazing!

Nice place, but poorly equipped and noisy. Our experience at this accommodation was unfortunately disappointing. Although it is advertised as self-catering, it is not properly equipped at all. For example, there was only one pot, not enough coffee, the stove did not work, no breakfast bowls and there was not even a garbage bag in the bin. It is also important to mention that there is only an outdoor shower - something that may not be convenient for everyone. The location is very noisy and did not feel safe. Although the decor is very nice, it unfortunately does not make up for the lack of basic amenities. I would not recommend this place to someone who really wants to cook their own food and stay comfortably.

Comfortable, modern and friendly service. Wonderful stay and would recommend it for an overnight stay on the way to GP or CPT!

Ideal overnight stop. Richmond is a beautiful Karoo town and an ideal place to sleep between Pretoria and Cape Town. All houses in Richmond are gated and have lots of electrical wires, but luckily we never felt unsafe. We had delicious food and would definitely recommend eating at their restaurant. We travelled with 2 babies and 2 dogs. There is plenty of room for everyone. Rose Cottage is a bit expensive for what you get, but nothing is wrong.
