Saamrus Guest Farm offers peaceful, pet-friendly self-catering accommodation in Magaliesburg, surrounded by indigenous woodland, scenic hills, and abundant birdlife. Located just 1.5 hours from Johannesburg and Pretoria, it is the perfect destination for nature lovers, couples seeking a romantic getaway, hikers, and guests wanting a private and relaxing countryside escape.

The farm features 9 fully equipped self-catering cottages, each with a private fenced garden, cosy indoor fireplace, well-equipped kitchenette, and comfortable bedroom and bathroom facilities. Every cottage is pet-friendly, and pets stay for free. Guests can bring their own DStv decoder if required.

Saamrus offers both mountainside cottages with stunning views and riverside cottages close to the stream, swimming pool, and birdlife-rich areas. Hill cottages require a high-clearance or 4x4 vehicle, while riverside cottages are easily accessible with any car.

A major attraction is the extensive walking and hiking trails, covering more than 500 hectares of mountains, forest, and grassland. Guests and their dogs can explore peaceful river walks, beautiful viewpoints, and quiet woodland paths. Well-socialised dogs may run off-leash on the trails.

On-site facilities include private braai areas at each cottage, a swimming pool, shaded secure parking, scenic picnic spots, and space for mountain biking.
