Peaceful bliss. We had a lovely time at Saxon River Camp! The owners were friendly and attentive. The river and facilities were clean and well looked after. We only booked for 2 nights but ended up staying for 5! Definitely recommended.

Value for money, peaceful and rustic. We were lucky to have a tree next to where we camped; there isn't much shade available. The ablutions were great, with very hot water from a donkey all the time. Water, ice and wood supplied by the hosts are cheap and readily available. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. This campsite is rustic, so don't expect luxury, but the facilities work, it is very quiet and peaceful, and the birdlife is great. Be ready to see cows and sheep passing nearby the campsites, which is something special, I think. It is a very dry time of the year there, but I think in better weather conditions this is an excellent choice.

The beautiful scenery and no cellphones made for wonderful family time. Yes, we had a great time. The stars were breathtaking.
