Shepherds Cottage is a rustic self-catering farm stay, set in an old shepherd’s cottage on a working farm just outside Middelburg in the Eastern Cape. Ideally located only 5 km from the N10, it makes for a perfect overnight stop for travellers.
The cottage accommodates 2 guests and comprises a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, while the bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. Linen and bath towels are provided.
The unit features an open-plan self-catering kitchen and dining area and lounge, equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, and microwave. Also offers a cosy indoor fireplace, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Additional amenities include free Wi-Fi.
Guests can enjoy outdoor living with a private braai area and Weber, free parking as well as beautiful views of Tafelberg. The farm offers 4x4 trails, walking trails, birdwatching opportunities, and tranquil Karoo night skies.
