Sparrow Hawk Lodge offers 7 shared, open-plan en-suite units, all under one roof, and is located on a privately owned farm, situated at the foothill of the Magaliesburg Mountains. Ideal for guests looking for comfortable, farm-stay lodging in a tranquil setting, 3 km from Hartbeespoort Dam, 1 km of the R512, between Peconwood Estate and the Broederstroom filling station, in Skuilkloof Road.

Accommodation at Sparrow Hawk Lodge comprises 7 bedrooms, which are tastefully decorated. All rooms come equipped with comfortable beds, and en-suite open plan bathrooms fitted with bath, shower, basin and toilet.

All units have a bar fridge, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. There are no TVs in the rooms. The large TV in the open-plan entertainment area has movies, sports, kiddies and news channels (DSTV basic package).

On-site facilities include a large open plan guest lounge with leather lounge suite & fireplace, a centre atrium lounge with leather lounge suite & fireplace, a bar area & fireplace, an upper deck with views over the dam and the Magalies Mountains and large Jacuzzi, a large well-equipped communal kitchen, an open boma & fireplace, mobile barbeque, a swimming pool (with slide into the pool) & barbeque area & a separate hotub, dart board, table tennis, small gym as well as secure parking. Guests are requested to bring their own swimming towels. There is also a trampoline and jungle-gym/swings for the toddlers.

For spectacular views of Hartbeespoort Dam in the distance and the surrounding mountain ranges... as well as a 1 km hiking trail up the mountain for the energetic and adventure-seeking person leading to another secluded deck area inside a ravine ...this is a recommendation.

Nearby activities include hot air ballooning, boat trips, zip line, paintball, cable cars, horse riding, fishing, cheetah sanctuary, lion and elephant parks, monkey sanctuary, bird watching, zoo and snake park, micro lighting, cycling, game viewing, mountain biking, bow shooting,golf driving range etc , and there are many various restaurants and pubs, all within very short travelling distance from the lodge(these are not offered or included in the Lodges in-house activities but rather as outing ideas for the adventurous guests).

Although Sparrowhawk Lodge is situated only 1 km from the main road (R512), visitors and guests are advised to proceed with caution on the dirt/gravel road, especially vehicles with very low ground clearance(sedans are perfectly capable tho:)
