Twinfalls Farm self-catering cottages are situated in the rare Karkloof mist-belt grassland and forest biome, via a rural KwaZulu-Natal midlands route, on the banks of a beautiful, peaceful river. It is surrounded by rolling green hills, wild natural bush, indigenous fauna and flora, and hidden streams, and includes two magnificent twin falls deep in the forest.
The farm offers 3 self-catering cottages, is ideal for a friend’s or family getaway, and offers activities that include exploring the mist-belt forest, grasslands, river, and waterfalls. Hiking up to the top of the Grey Mare's Tail waterfall, or to the top of Mount Gilboa, is also recommended. They also have a dam on the farm that guests enjoy.
The area is well known for its bird sightings, including the Olive Bush Shrike, Orange Ground Thrush, and Narina Trogon, as well as the Knysna Lourie, Blue Crane, and Secretary Bird. Mountain biking and fishing are popular activities enjoyed by guests. The Karkloof Conservancy and the Karkloof Canopy Tours are only a 15-minute drive away, as is the Karkloof Country Club, which has a restaurant.
