They went above and beyond on all the extras. Also had a special visit from a mongoose and a great night sighting of an owl. You are amongst the trees!

Well worth the money for a weekend away with a spouse/partner. Absolutely enjoyed the quiet and tranquil location even with rainy weather all weekend. We truly can recommend Uilhuijs as a place to relax and get away from it all.

Magnificent winter stay in cozy cabin. Fabulous stay in this beautiful cottage. Everything was spotless. The cottage is beautifully decorated with a view to die for. We were spoiled with rusks, fruit and snacks. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. There is so much to do in the beautiful Elgin Valley; we will definitely be back.

Its central location makes it the perfect base for exploring all the surrounding areas, from wine farms to nature reserves. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into every detail, from the stylish decor to the fully equipped kitchen that made self-catering a breeze. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. What really stood out were the personal touches from the hosts, who were incredibly hospitable. We were welcomed with complimentary snacks and fresh fruit – such a thoughtful gesture that made our stay feel extra special. Cozy, elegant, relaxing. We had the perfect winter getaway at Uilhuijs. The house is tastefully decorated, the beds are comfortable and cozy, and the indoor fireplace kept the chill at bay. Leanne is a wonderful host. We're already looking forward to our next stay at Uilhuijs.
