"Ons het nie regtig Port Edward die dorpie besoek bie, wel by Ship Wreck restaurant gaan eet, baie lekker. Die omgewing het baie plekkies om te ontdek, van 2 heerlike koffieplantasies met klein restaurante, heerlike gholfbane om die hoek, strande wat veilig en skoon is. Ons het 'n heerlike vakansie gehad."
"We visited the area over the Christmas period and found the people of the area friendly and peaceful. The area were not overly crowded and felt safe. We visited a few beaches in the area and enjoyed them all. Some were swim beaches, others more rocky."

"As 'n vakansiedorp in die somervakansie, sou 'n mens dink hulle roomyswinkels óf minstens KFC sal draai roomyse beskikbaar hê vanaf vroeg, dit is egter nie die geval nie. Red Desert Natuur Reservaat is beslis 'n belewenis, maar sal dit nie aanbeveel vir energieke of baie jong kinders nie."

"Very limited shops available. Spar is overcrowded and limited stock is available. Nobody replenishing the stock. Should have a manager walking around, speaking to customers. I do not feel safe in Port Edward. Should have community members, with special t-shirts on walking around. Across from the Spar, the area is neglected. They should make a neat smart area where the local ladies can sell their fruit and veg to the holidaymakers."
