Vredehoek
Description
Vredehoek is one of the youngest regions of the Cape Town City Bowl. Residences here are often small and the rent is correspondingly lower, but as a result the night-life, bars and restaurants are hugely popular (and quite reasonably priced).
The atmosphere here is infectious and the views are arguable the best in Cape Town (offering panoramic views of Signal Hill, Table Mountain, Lion's Head, the Harbour and across the bay). The only thing to be weary of is that this may also be Cape Town's windiest suburb.
