No gate entry fees are payable at Abelana Game Reserve.
There is a conservation fee of R135.00 per person per night.
All bookings at Abelana Safari Camp require a minimum stay of 2 nights.
A stay of 3 nights is recommended to enjoy the full experience.
Children aged 6 to 12 years are only accommodated if at least 4 adults are booked on the same reservation. Children 12 years and older are regarded as adults and are charged the applicable adult rate.
Wi-Fi is not available due to the camp’s remote location. Cellular signal varies by service provider.
Private vehicles are not permitted to drive within the reserve. Guests must plan to arrive at the relevant gate at or near the designated times to ensure participation in scheduled safari activities on the day of arrival.
Abelana lies in a relatively low-risk malaria area.
Malaria is treatable, but guests are strongly advised to consult a medical professional before travelling to obtain guidance on preventive medication.
Guests are encouraged to take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover medical emergencies, evacuation, hospitalisation, cancellations, and loss of personal items. The area is remote with potentially dangerous wildlife.
All safaris are led by armed, experienced guides.
Participation in all activities is at guests’ own risk.
The rate excludes all drinks, curio purchases, laundry services, gratuities, and transfers to and from the reserve.
