Beautiful guest house, but all the do's and don'ts felt too restrictive. The place is beautiful and the rooms were well styled, comfortable and luxurious. We only stayed for 1 night, during a family trip from Cape Town down the Garden Route to PE and flying back to Cape Town. However, after staying in various similar guest houses along the route, we found it to be the least welcoming of them all. Before arriving, we had received a number of communications detailing lists of do's and don'ts connected with the guest house, making it feel very restrictive and unwelcoming. The final straw was the 'do not pack' notices on the shampoo and bath gel in the bathrooms. For an upmarket guest house, it was rather tacky.
