Avoca River Cabins is tucked away in the beautiful citrus and rose-growing Sundays River Valley, just a short 20-minute drive from the Addo Elephant National Park. It’s a peaceful spot that nature lovers, bird watchers, families, and couples absolutely adore.
We offer a variety of places to stay — from our Riverside and Riverfront Chalets to the Bush Camp cottages, Castle, Gymnogene, 4 Chalets, Uncle Townie’s, and of course the popular Tree Tops Cottage.
You’ll find lots to enjoy on the farm: safe parking, braai areas, a swimming pool, a children’s playground, free Wi-Fi, and a daily cleaning service if needed. And of course, you’re invited to enjoy our Farm Style breakfast to start your day, and our scrumptious home-cooked dinners in the evenings — all prepared with love and fresh farm ingredients. We have a game-viewing vehicle that heads out to Addo for an unforgettable safari experience.
We also have a lovely conference venue and two beautiful wedding spaces for those special celebrations.
Avoca is the kind of place where families can relax, kids can explore safely, and couples can enjoy a quiet, romantic break surrounded by nature.
Just a quick note: the nearest supermarket is about 16 km away (close to Addo). It’s a good idea to pick up any groceries or braai supplies before you arrive should you prefer self-catering.
