Tranquil cottage in beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Badensfontein (Merlot Cottage). The cottage is well equipped and has a lovely patio to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay; however, from the photos, we had expected there would be a pool on site (which, in December, is pretty crucial). We found out when we arrived that the Merlot and Ruby Cottages are at a different location to the camping and other cottages, which is where the pool is, so it wasn't as easy to cool down as we had hoped. The fan in the twin bedroom was also extremely loud, so we couldn't use it while we slept. Apart from that, I would recommend it for a peaceful getaway.
