Bailey’s Riverside Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in the Groenfontein Valley near Calitzdorp in the Klein Karoo, situated at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains. It is ideal for a couple seeking a peaceful nature retreat, but can accommodate up to 4 guests, making it suitable for small families as well. The cottage is located just a few minutes from the Calitzdorp wine route and Route 62.

The cottage boasts beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and consists of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan living area. The bedroom is furnished with two single beds, while two additional single beds are located in the living area. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower and toilet.

The open-plan kitchen and living area include a stove, oven, fridge, cutlery, and crockery, as well as a dining table with seating for four guests. A cosy indoor fireplace provides warmth during cooler Karoo evenings.

The cottage opens onto a covered stoep with an outdoor braai area, where guests can relax and enjoy the peaceful valley surroundings.

Well-behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement, making the cottage ideal for guests travelling with their furry companions. Secure parking is available on the property.

The cottage is powered by solar energy, which runs the lights and fridge. There are no standard plug points available; however, a battery is provided for charging cell phones and small devices. The battery can be recharged by the owner on request.
