This hidden gem on Buffeljags Dam will ruin all other weekend getaways for you! We just got back from the most restorative weekend at Besi si Nesi, and I'm still thinking about it days later. If you're looking for the perfect escape from the city, stop scrolling and book this place. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Tanya and Marius have thought of absolutely everything. The cottage comes stocked with every single thing you could possibly need, right down to power adapters and a fully equipped braai grid. There's something so wonderful about not having to pack for every contingency because your hosts have already anticipated it all. The attention to detail is next level. The location is nothing short of phenomenal. Waking up to views of Buffeljags Dam, with total peace and quiet, while still being just minutes from the N2, is the perfect combination. Close enough to reach easily, far enough to feel like a proper escape. We were also drawn to the area to visit Sijnn Wines in Malgas, and having this as our base made the whole trip effortless. We stayed on a cold July weekend, and the wood-fired hot tub turned out to be an absolute highlight. There's nothing quite like soaking under the stars with a glass of wine while the chill sets in around you. It made the whole stay feel like a proper indulgence. Everything about the property was spotlessly clean and beautifully organised, and we felt completely safe and at ease the entire time we were there. Tanya and Marius themselves deserve a special mention. Their warmth and hospitality made the stay feel personal, not transactional. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests having a wonderful time. If you're after a short drive, big reset, and a place that gets every detail right, Besi si Nesi comes with my highest recommendation. We'll absolutely be back.

Blissful, peaceful breakaway. In a word, tranquil. Just the escape we needed from our busy lives. The unit was quaint yet comfy. We felt quite at home and were made to feel welcome by our gracious hosts, who popped around to ensure everything was to our liking and in order.
