It's very unfortunate that her experience was negative. Many new guests don't know that block B and block A are two buildings apart from each other. Most guests appreciate not being separated from their friends or family. Firstly, I tried to place them in the same building and secondly, I informed her via WhatsApp that we can perhaps move her to a room that sleeps three as there's another group requesting the large family room which can sleep five. Her team members later questioned why I asked her if we could swap her room. I was told she can be a challenging individual.
We previously asked many guests if they preferred not to have duvets in the summer as we often found them discarded on cupboards, chairs, or the floor. 98% of guests didn't want duvets. She requested a duvet after hours and it wasn't immediately available. Every guest has three blankets available of varying thickness.
After finding many broken plates and glasses, I saw she was the only person around at the time, so I asked her in a friendly manner if she knew or had heard anything about it. She responded that it was the group from another province.
We were also disappointed to find her room smelling of cigarette smoke.
We always strive to be friendly and respectful. After sunset, I walk around the grounds and ask guests to mind the open doors due to the occasional mosquitoes.
