Quiet and beautiful getaway. We just got away for the weekend and Blesberg was surprisingly nice. The self-catering cottages have everything you need, even plenty of firewood for a nice fire in the giant fireplace. The dam was within walking distance of our cottage, but you can also drive there (with a regular car), and we spent hours paddling around on the dam fishing. It was quiet and beautiful, and the farm makes canoes available -- we didn't have to bring anything with us, except our fishing rods. I even got to see an otter! The accommodation is rustic, but unless you're expecting a hotel and B&B, you'll really enjoy it. Perfect for a getaway; maybe a little rough for city dwellers, but absolutely lovely for us country folk. There was no WiFi, and no city lights to be seen either. Wonderful. We plan to go again in the summer.

Can't wait to go back. We had the most incredible time at Blesberg. Our little ones loved the animals. The first thing they did in the morning was moo back at the cows. The fireplace kept us warm on chilly nights. The cottage had everything we needed.

Peaceful, entertaining and rejuvenating (even with a toddler and new born? We stayed in the Ivy Cottage. The cottage is neat, cosy, and had all the amenities we needed. The space and view from the patio is incredible, and it was so lovely to have the farm animals so close by, especially with a toddler who loves animals. The space at the dam was amazing. We spent all day there. The communication from Nicole and the website assured us that there were no delays or uncertainties.

Comfortable cottage on lovely dairy farm. We didn't stay there much during the day as we were using it as a base. It is in a stunning valley and very peaceful and comfortable. I would suggest that it not be labelled as being in Balgowan as that was a little misleading. Rather say it's in the Lidgeton Valley. Nicole was very helpful when we needed her.

We only stayed 1 night, could easily have stayed for a weekend. Very peaceful on the farm, beautiful surroundings.

Very nice overnight stay on a working farm with beautiful views. Lovely cottage. Staying in Pumpkin Cottage was pleasant and we enjoyed it very much. The fresh farm milk was a pleasant surprise and well enjoyed. We will return and visit again in the future.

Beautiful, peaceful spring. Absolutely loved our stay - spent most of our time at the dam - fishing, canoeing, and going down the zipline. Such a peaceful place, and the perfect spot to completely unwind and switch off.
