Bontebokskloof Manor The historic Cape Dutch Manor sleeps up to twelve guests and is ideal for large family gatherings and wedding parties, with a vine-covered pergola, large outdoor swimming pool and mountain views that make every moment feel timeless. Lovingly restored, this fully furnished self-catering guest house offers five bedrooms and three bathrooms, perfect for up to three families. Thick mud-brick walls keep it cozy in winter, while high ceilings offer summer cool. Settle into the northwest-facing ‘stoep’ couches with a good book, letting go of time and the bustle of life. Like all old farmhouses, the kitchen and adjacent braai area, are the heart and soul of Bontebokskloof Manor. The fully equipped kitchen, with its 14-seater dining table, opens onto the vine covered pergola and swimming pool. The braai area has an unspoiled view of the mountains. The lounge features an old (untuned) piano and a fireplace watched over by one of South Africa’s most beloved poets, Uys Krige. Born on this farm, he penned the poignant Die Plaashek—The Farm Gate—on returning from WWII. Step into timeless charm and make memories that linger at Bontebokskloof Manor.
